Koa Kava Tongan is my go to daily Kava. I've been ordering Kava for about a year now after quitting alcohol. I have tried a number of brands and a number of types including everything Koa has to offer. The Tongan is my favorite due to the wonderfully smooth taste ( almost nutty ), smooth effects of a balanced heady ( in my opinion), high strength and consistent quality. The price is up there with some of the higher end kava of other artisan suppliers but every time or order elsewhere I'm not quite as satisfied as I am with Koa's Tongan. I'm now at the point I rarely order anything else. If your newer to Koa I would highly recommend checking out the Kava Forums for some honest reviews ( you won't be disappointed) and a little surprise ( hint it's a code ).
I know it sounds cliche to say I never write reviews, but I never write reviews. I have been repurchasing the Vanuatu from Koa Kava for a long time now and have to say that it is exactly what I have been looking for to have in my own kitchen for personal use and to share a shell with friends and family. The quality is amazing - not over-processed, not under-processed, always on point with the effects.
Since I finally quit alcohol, I have been getting my valuable social time at kava bars here in NYC, but it is nice to have a high quality root powder at home as well. It is like having some social drinks with friends but keeping a great bottle of scotch for myself at home.

I’ve always been an anxious person and I’ve always had to medicate. This kava has been a godsend, especially as I’ve tried to move away from medications the older I get due to the long term effects on the brain. Good price with a coupon(thanks to free shipping), very clean tasting(the cleanest I can remember for kava) and solid effects. My first shipment got stuck and they promptly reshipped with some free instant kava when I emailed about it, so it was great service.
I received this for free as an add-on to a reship of tongan kava. It's good and very convenient, but I couldn't justify the price for this amount personally. Maybe someone else is different, since making kava is kind of a chore. A nice treat for me since it was free though!
